Batch runs

Batch every unbatched order in one run. Set the Mass batch minimum, include split-shipment orders, recompute cartonization and generate packing slips as part of the run. Progress shows live, and you're asked for cartons when a mass batch needs them.

How it works

A batch run puts every unbatched order into order batches in one go. Open Orders, then Batch Runs, and start a run.

Run options

  • Mass batch minimum: How many identically-shaped orders it takes to make a mass batch.
  • Include split-shipment orders: Whether orders that allow split shipments are batched.
  • Recompute cartonization for batched orders: Work out fresh cartons for every order in the run.
  • Generate packing slips for batched orders: Have the pack slips ready before packing starts.

How orders are grouped

Batches are built per facility. Orders with an identical line structure become mass batches. Single-unit orders become singles batches. Orders of one shared SKU in different quantities become SKU bulk batches. Everything else goes into standard batches.

Follow the run

The run page updates while it works, with the orders evaluated, batched and skipped, and the batches created. If a mass batch needs a carton, the run stops and asks you to choose one for each mass batch before it finishes.

Skipped orders

Every order the run couldn't use is listed with the reason, such as on hold, canceled, already batched or not routed to a facility. Fix the reason and the next run picks it up.

See The Packout Flow in the knowledge base for how each kind of batch is packed.
