Passkeys
Register a passkey on your device to sign in without a password or to use as a second factor. Rename or delete your passkeys from Account security.
How it works
A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face, screen lock or a security key, with no password to type. Passkeys are phishing-resistant.
Add a passkey
Open Account security and choose Add a passkey in the Passkeys section. Give it a name you'll recognize, or leave the name blank, then follow your device's prompt. Once it's added, you can use it from the sign-in page.
If your browser doesn't support passkeys, the button is turned off.
Use a passkey as a second factor
Turn on Require a passkey as a second factor, and signing in with your password also asks for a passkey.
Manage your passkeys
- Each passkey shows its name, when it was added and when it was last used.
- Passkeys that sync across your devices are marked Synced.
- Choose Rename to give a passkey a new name.
- Choose Remove to delete one. You'll be asked to confirm, and you can't sign in with it after that.
