GraphQL API

Rate, ship, manage orders and items, search records and start exports through one GraphQL API. Production and sandbox each have their own endpoint. Requests authenticate with an API key sent as a Bearer token.

How it works

The ShipGenius API is a GraphQL API for the same work you do in the app. Rate shipments, buy labels, create and manage orders and items, search any record type and start data exports.

Every request sends an API key in the Authorization header as a Bearer token. Keys come from an app you create in Settings, under Developer, Apps, and a key can only do what its app's roles allow.

Endpoints

  • Production: api.lite.shipgeni.us/graphql
  • Sandbox: api.sandbox.lite.shipgeni.us/graphql

A key only works in the environment that issued it. Build against the sandbox, then switch the host and key when you go live.

Check your connection

Send the ping query to confirm your key works. It returns your app's name, your IP address, your permissions and the time of the request.
