Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 2026

ShipGenius LLC is committed to making our websites and applications usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement covers the ShipGenius marketing site (https://shipgeni.us) and the ShipGenius application (https://lite.shipgeni.us), across all product tiers: Core, Plus, OMS, Warehouse, and 3PL.

Our Commitment

We believe shipping software should work for every operator, on every device, with whatever assistive technology they rely on. Accessibility is treated as a requirement of our product work rather than a remediation step we return to later, and we review it as part of designing and building new features.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

ShipGenius aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We consider our sites partially conformant, which means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. The known gaps are listed under Known Limitations below, and we are actively working to close them.

Measures We Take

To support accessibility across our products, ShipGenius:

  • Builds interfaces from semantic HTML and a shared component library, so headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels are announced correctly by screen readers
  • Ensures all interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
  • Targets a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and meaningful interface elements
  • Pairs color with text or iconography wherever color communicates status, so information is never conveyed by color alone
  • Provides text alternatives for images that carry meaning, and marks decorative imagery so assistive technology skips it
  • Supports browser zoom and text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Includes accessibility considerations in design review and code review

Compatibility

ShipGenius is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile, used together with the operating system's assistive technology, including VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack.

ShipGenius may not work reliably with browsers older than the two most recent major versions, or with assistive technology that does not support current accessibility APIs.

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of ShipGenius relies on the following technologies working with your browser and any assistive technology you use:

  • HTML
  • WAI-ARIA
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the standards described above.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. The following are known issues we are tracking, along with what we are doing about them:

  • Third-party content: Payment entry is provided by our payment processor inside an embedded frame, and some carrier and marketplace integrations render content we do not control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of these components, and we raise issues with those vendors as we find them.
  • Generated shipping documents: Shipping labels, packing slips, and customs forms are produced as PDFs or images to carrier specifications, and are not fully accessible to screen readers. Their underlying shipment data is available in accessible form within the application.
  • Complex data tables: Some order, inventory, and analytics views in OMS, Warehouse, and 3PL use dense tables whose keyboard navigation and screen reader announcements are still being improved.
  • Older blog and knowledge base content: Some articles published before our current editorial process may have incomplete image descriptions or heading structure. We correct these as they are identified.

Assessment Approach

ShipGenius assesses the accessibility of its products through internal self-evaluation. This includes automated testing during development along with manual keyboard and screen reader review of key workflows. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of ShipGenius. If you encounter a barrier, or need information from our site in an alternative format, please tell us. Include the page address and a short description of the problem and the assistive technology you were using, and we will respond within five business days.
