Features
Rates and Labels
Compare carriers side by side and buy discounted UPS and USPS labels without your own carrier account, one at a time or in batches from a CSV or your store orders.

Single and batch labels
Build one label or a whole batch on the same page. Each shipment gets its own form. The page is reactive and shows you everything you need to fill out before you complete your purchase of discounted labels.

Multi-carrier rate shopping
Rate every shipment against ShipGenius UPS and USPS rates and your own carrier accounts in one list. The cheapest valid rate is picked for you, and you can change it. Use Rate all to rate the whole batch at once.

Discounted UPS and USPS rates
StandoutBuy discounted UPS and USPS labels on ShipGenius's own carrier accounts. You don't need to open or connect a carrier account first. Business accounts also get commercial and negotiated rates.

Rate card details
Each rate shows which account it uses, how much you save against the retail price, and a breakdown of the price. After you buy, the shipment record shows the billing weight and every itemized charge.

Address book
Keep the addresses you ship to and from in one place. Set a default from address and a default to address. Save a new address straight from the ship form while you build a label.

Address validation
Check US addresses against USPS data before you buy a label. Each address comes back valid, warning, suggested or invalid. Take the suggested address or keep your own, which is then marked unverified.

Saved packages
Pick a saved package with one tap, or enter the dimensions and weight yourself. Soft packs and bags work too, with girth worked out for you. A saved package can also carry customs items and hazmat details.

Carrier packaging
Ship in packaging the carrier supplies. Choose the packaging and enter the weight. You don't need to measure the box.

Scan-at-counter labels
Skip the printer for domestic USPS and UPS labels. Choose Scan at counter and you get a code to show at the counter. USPS prints the label there, and UPS also gives you a printable copy.

Label purchase, payment and printing
Pay for your batch and print every label from the batch page. Print all the labels as one PDF or send them as ZPL to a thermal printer, or download the PDF. Store-order confirmations show on the same page.

Rate groups
StandoutPut a set of carrier services in a rate group and ShipGenius picks the best one that qualifies when an order ships. Set a maximum cost, a transit-time guarantee, a number of delivery days or a deliver-by date. Services the group rules out are shown with the reason.
- OMS

Shipping plans
StandoutA shipping plan is a named set of carrier services an order may use, plus a return facility. Assign one to an order or to a marketplace seller source.
Tracking, voids and carrier handoff
Everything after the label: tracking and recipient emails, voids and reprints, manifests and end-of-day forms from one shipment history.

Shipment history
See every label you've bought in one table. Filter it, save the filter as a view, and export it.

Shipment detail
Open a shipment to see its tracking number, label, delivery estimate, total and base cost, billing weight and itemized charges. It links to the batch, the order and any documents. An unpaid label links straight to payment.

Void labels
Void one label or many from the shipment page, the order or the batch. The refund shows as a credit in your billing activity, including while it is still pending.

Reprint and download labels
Print or download a label again from the shipment page, the order or the batch page.

Failed label log
Every label attempt that fails is logged with the carrier's error code and message. Today's failures also show on your home dashboard.

Pickup preferences
Set how carriers pick up from your facilities. Choose next-business-day pickup, the FedEx pickup type, the DHL Express pickup cutoff and request-on-ship, Saturday pickup, and each facility's close time. A workflow can set them too.

Contact support from a shipment
Use Contact Support on a shipment to open a support ticket that is already linked to it. Our team sees which shipment you mean without you copying the details.
Orders and automation
Manage orders from every channel in one list, batch them for fulfillment, and automate routing, cartonization and repetitive steps with the workflow builder.

Orders list
See every order in one table with the columns you choose. Search, save filters, share a link to a view, and export. Select orders to edit them in bulk, hold or cancel them, validate addresses, sync them to the marketplace, cartonize them, or print pack slips and documents.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Order actions
Work an order from its own page. Fulfill it, rate shop it, print labels or a pack slip, void labels, short ship, hold or unhold it, cancel it, validate the address, or sync it to the marketplace. A hold can print a hold label.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Order rate shop
Rate an order where it is, then buy and print the label. Override the weight by hand or take it live from a USB scale. If an item ships in its own box, that box is offered as the package.

Order batches
Group orders into batches for fulfillment, usually by facility. Create a batch by hand and add or remove orders as you go. Packers open the batch on the Fulfill page to pack it.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Batch runs
Batch every unbatched order in one run. Set the Mass batch minimum, include split-shipment orders, recompute cartonization and generate packing slips as part of the run. Progress shows live, and you're asked for cartons when a mass batch needs them.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Priority levels
Create priority codes with a description and a badge color, and use them to rank orders.

Routing guides
Set rules that choose which facility fulfills an order. Allow split shipments when an order can ship from more than one facility.
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Facilities
Add each warehouse and ship-from location as a facility with its address, contact and close time. Set the DHL Express pickup cutoff per facility.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Workflow builder
StandoutWrite your fulfillment rules as a workflow. Build it with cards in Builder, or edit the YAML in Code. It checks as you type, lists any problems, and has a Reference tab and a starter template to begin from.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Workflow triggers
StandoutStart a workflow when a record is created, updated or deleted, on a schedule, or by hand. An update trigger can wait for changes to the fields you choose. Narrow any trigger with conditions, a source integration or a saved filter.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Workflow actions
Steps a workflow can take on an order. Send it to a facility, rate shop it in a rate group, ship it with a service, limit it to a shipping plan, set pickup preferences, run cartonization, hold it, add a note, set the priority, validate the address, set references, fill in customs, refresh it from the marketplace, change its lines, or generate a pack slip or document.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Workflow logic and integrations
Add logic to a workflow with if/else, repeat for each, and record lookups. Call a web address, run a script, remember a value, write to the run log, or stop and skip steps.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Workflow versions, runs and collisions
StandoutEvery saved change becomes a version you can compare with a diff. Each run is recorded, and an on/off switch controls the workflow. If two runs write different values to the same field, it's flagged as a collision.

Workflow secrets
Store the credentials your HTTP and script steps need as workflow secrets, so they stay out of the workflow itself. These keys are encrypted and stored safely. Use these as variables in the workflow to allow secure requests to other API's.

Run a workflow from any record
Run a manually triggered workflow on a record from its Run Workflow action. Pick the workflow from the list and it runs on that record.
Packout and fulfillment
Scan-verified packout, carton recommendations, rapid and mass batches, and holds, so every order ships with the right items in the right box.

Packout
StandoutPack orders one at a time or in bulk. Scan each item into a carton, choose the box, then ship and print the label from the same screen. Orders in batches flow automatically based on your own settings. The layout works on desktop, a tablet, or mobile views.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Scan-verify
Turn on Require scan verify and SKUs can't be typed or pasted into a carton, so every item has to be scanned. If a scan matches more than one line, packout refuses it. Packout can play a sound on each scan so you know it registered without looking at the screen.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Carton picker
Choose the box for each carton from your consumables, use the item's own box, or enter a custom size. A custom size takes length, width, height and weight, and can be marked as a soft pack for bags and envelopes. Duplicate a carton when the next one holds the same items.

Ship in own box
Ship a single unit in the retail box it came in. ShipGenius uses the item's own dimensions and adds no packaging weight. The Item's own box option shows in packout, rapid batches and order rate shop when the order is one unit with dimensions on file.

Ship checklist
The Ready to ship when checklist shows what's left to do on an order and why Ship is blocked. It lists conditions such as All items packed, Every carton boxed, Address validated and Customs, and you can work through them in any order. International orders can't ship until customs is complete.

Rapid batches
StandoutWork down a queue of single-item or same-SKU orders by scanning. Scan the item, then scan a carton to ship it. Every order in the batch is checked before you reach it, so a blocked order shows up before anyone scans it.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Print all labels for a batch
Print or reprint every label in a batch with Print all labels. Hold labels print in the same run. Choose whether the labels print as shipped, by carrier or by service.
- OMS
- Warehouse
- 3PL

Hold labels
StandoutPut an order on hold with a reason so it can't ship until it's released. When a carrier refuses a shipment in packout, the order goes on hold and a 4x6 hold label prints with the reason, the carrier error and a QR code. A banner on the order shows the reason and lets you release it.

Short ship
Ship an order without all of its items. Short ship is available while you're packing the order and ships what's in the cartons. It needs the short ship permission, or an admin can approve it on the packer's screen.

Packout settings
Each user sets their own packout preferences in Settings, Packout & printing. Turn on auto-ship, skip completed orders, auto-validate addresses, require scan verify, show order notes and play a sound on scan. The same page sets your label printer, packing slip printer, label format and scale.
Inventory and warehouse
Items and bundles, aliases and consumables, plus inventory by facility and bin location, adjustments, order allocations and backorders.

Items
Keep every SKU as an item with its UPC, type, unit of measure, case and pallet quantities, dimensions and weight. Add a customs profile, carrier rules and prices. Add a secondary scan code for a second barcode.

Consumables
List the packing materials you use, like cartons, mailers, polybags, inserts and dunnage. Record the vendor and a link for reordering, and the USPS processing category for packaging. Your cartons show up in the carton list at packout.

Consumable requirements
StandoutSet rules like "this SKU needs this insert" with a quantity and packing instructions. Mark a requirement as required, and choose whether a packer can override it. Packers see the requirements in the packout checklist.

Packaging list
See the packaging you've set up from your items in one list.

International and customs
Customs details on the ship page, saved customs profiles for each item, commercial invoices and duties, and a customs check at packout.

Order customs and duties
Keep customs details on the order so they're ready when it ships. Set the duties payer, including a third-party account, the importer tax id, paperless trade, import restriction and what to do if undeliverable. The order view shows them under Duties & Handling.

Item customs profiles
Save customs details once and assign them to your items. A profile holds the HS code, country of origin, food or perishable flag, USMCA origin criterion and identifying marks. Items also carry a GTIN and manufacturer part number.

Customs parties
Save your importer and exporter parties with their tax ids. They're kept in one list so you don't have to enter them again for each shipment.

Commercial invoices
Keep commercial invoices in ShipGenius with their charges itemized. Add duty, freight, handling, insurance, packing and taxes to each invoice.

International carriers

USB scales
Read live weight from a USB scale while you rate an order. HID and serial scales, such as Dymo, Fairbanks, Ohaus and A&D, are detected automatically. Choose pounds, ounces, kilograms or grams.

Bluetooth label printers
Print labels from the ShipGenius mobile app to a Bluetooth label printer. It includes a driver for Munbyn RW40xB printers and a generic Bluetooth fallback. Scan for nearby printers and check print diagnostics from the printing settings.

Permission explanations
Before your phone asks for camera, Bluetooth, location or contacts access, ShipGenius explains what it's for. If you said no, an Open Settings button takes you to where you can turn it back on.

Keyboard-wedge scanners
Plug in a hardware barcode scanner and scan into the packout scan field. Scanners that type like a keyboard work without any setup in ShipGenius.

Developers
A GraphQL shipping API with API keys, webhooks, a sandbox and data exports, plus workflows you can define as code.

GraphQL API

API reference
Public docs for the API, with a quickstart and pages on authentication, errors, rating, shipping, orders, items, searching, exports and the sandbox. A generated explorer lists every query, mutation and type in the schema. You can read it without an account.

Apps and API keys

Webhooks
StandoutSend record changes to your own endpoint as they happen. Each webhook watches one record type for created, updated or deleted events. Deliveries are signed with HMAC-SHA256, and every attempt shows in the delivery history.

Sandbox
StandoutBuild and test your integration against a separate copy of the API with its own accounts and keys. Billing runs in Stripe test mode and carrier calls go to each carrier's test environment, so no money moves and labels come back watermarked. A badge in the toolbar shows whenever you're in the sandbox. Build full test pipelines before deploying to any production facing application.

Data export API

Dock
The Dock is a side column with your pinned records, recently visited records, saved views and a scan zone. Switch off any zone you don't use.

Pin records
Star any record to pin it. Pinned records show in the Dock and on your Home dashboard, so you can get back to them quickly.

Activity timeline
Each record shows the processes and steps that ran against it, including imports, errors and inventory changes. Use it to see what happened to an order or shipment and when.

Attachments
Attach documents, product images and profile photos to records and view them inline. Each file stays with the record it belongs to.

Support tickets
Open a support ticket from inside the app. Attach files, link the records it's about, and mention records in your message. Follow your tickets in My tickets, get updates in the app and by email, and close a ticket when it's resolved.
Billing and pricing
Pay per label, prepay with credits or get weekly invoices with autopay, and bring your own carrier accounts for a small per-label fee.

Pay per label batch
On Core, you pay for each label batch by card on the batch page. The page counts down to when the payment session expires, and unpaid labels are voided when it runs out. A convenience fee applies to each batch.

Own-carrier label fee
Labels you buy on your own carrier account carry a per-label fee, and labels on ShipGenius rates carry none. New accounts start with free labels for their first 60 days, the fee then steps down as your monthly volume grows, and voided labels are refunded.
