Order customs and duties
Keep customs details on the order so they're ready when it ships. Set the duties payer, including a third-party account, the importer tax id, paperless trade, import restriction and what to do if undeliverable. The order view shows them under Duties & Handling.
How it works
Customs details can be kept on the order, so they're ready when it ships. Set them in the customs part of the order form when you create or edit an order.
What you can set
- Duties payer: sender, recipient or a third party. For a third party, add their account number and its country.
- Importer tax ID: saved as the order's importer.
- Paperless: send customs documents electronically where the carrier supports it.
- If undeliverable: return to sender or abandon.
- Import restriction, with its details.
Editing an order also covers the export reason, Incoterms, insured and declared values, duties and taxes prepaid, USMCA, and the order's commercial invoice.
On the order
Open the order's customs to see everything in sections: Parties, Declaration, Duties & Exemptions, Duties & Handling, Export Control and Documents. Duties & Handling shows the duties payer, the paperless setting, what happens if the package is undeliverable and any import restriction.
Filling customs automatically
A workflow with the Fill in customs action can fill these in on orders without anyone typing them.
