Packaging list

How it works

Packaging is the list of boxes and mailers you ship in. Open Items, then Packaging, to see every carton, polybag and bubble mailer you've set up, with its SKU, description, dimensions, weight and consumable record.

Adding packaging

Select New Packaging to add one. The form asks for:

• Name and Category: carton, polybag or bubble mailer.
• SKU and Description: the description defaults to the name.
• Length, width, height and weight, in imperial or metric.
• USPS Processing Category, Vendor and Vendor Product Link, if you have them.

Saving creates the item and its consumable record together.

Packaging in packout

Everything on this list shows in packout's carton list, so packers can choose it for a carton or scan its SKU. The shipment is rated on the packaging's dimensions, and its weight is added to the weight of the items packed in it.
