Pickup preferences
Set how carriers pick up from your facilities. Choose next-business-day pickup, the FedEx pickup type, the DHL Express pickup cutoff and request-on-ship, Saturday pickup, and each facility's close time. A workflow can set them too.
How it works
Pickup preferences tell the carrier how a shipment leaves your building. They go with the label when an order ships. There's no separate page for booking a pickup.
Where you set them
- OMS configuration: The account's Shipping and Pickup settings, including next-business-day pickup, the FedEx pickup type, the DHL pickup cutoff time and whether to request a DHL pickup on ship.
- Facilities: Each facility's close time and DHL Express pickup cutoff time.
- Orders: The FedEx pickup type, next-business-day pickup and a DHL Express pickup request on each order. Saturday Pickup is in the order's extra services.
- Workflows: The Set pickup preferences step sets them as orders come in, along with pickup instructions for the driver and where on the premises to pick up.
FedEx pickup type
Choose Use scheduled pickup, Drop off at FedEx location, or Contact FedEx to schedule. An order without a choice uses your scheduled pickup.
DHL Express
A DHL Express pickup is requested when the label is bought, unless the order says not to. The request carries the facility's close time and any pickup location and instructions.
