Run a workflow from any record
Run a manually triggered workflow on a record from its Run Workflow action. Pick the workflow from the list and it runs on that record.
How it works
Open a record, such as an order, and select Run Workflow from its actions menu. Pick a workflow from the list and select run. The workflow runs on that record, and you'll see Run requested.
Which workflows show
The list holds the enabled workflows that run on that type of record, so an order shows order workflows. The field links to the Workflows page if you need to manage them.
Scripts with inputs
A script can ask for inputs. When you pick one, a field shows for each input so you can fill them in before it runs.
Following the run
The run is queued and recorded like any other. Open the workflow's Runs section to see its status, its log and any error.
Who can use it
Running a workflow needs the run workflow permission on your role.
Good uses
- Re-run address validation on an order that was fixed by hand.
- Run a review workflow on an order a customer called about.
