Allocations
Inventory is held for each order line at a facility. See the allocations on the order page or in the Allocations list.
How it works
Each order line for a tracked item is allocated inventory at a facility. Allocated units are held for that order, so they aren't counted as purchasable or published to your marketplaces.
If no inventory can be allocated, the allocation is backordered and shows in Backorders.
What an allocation shows
Each allocation lists its order and order line, the item, the facility, its status, the quantity still allocated and how much has already shipped.
Where to see them
- Order page: an Allocations section lists what's allocated to the order, item by item.
- Allocations: in the Inventory section of the sidebar, every allocation across your orders.
- Inventory records and facility totals: each has its own Allocations section.
When the order ships
Shipped units are taken off hand and counted as shipped on the allocation. Turning off inventory tracking releases every allocation.
