Sign-in methods

Sign in with an email and password, with Google, or with a passkey and no password at all. New passwords get a strength check before you can save them. Google sign-in is available on the web.

How it works

The sign-in page names the ways you can sign in on that device. Use your email and password, Google, or a passkey. You can set up more than one from Account security.

Email and password

Set or change your password from Account security. We check its strength as you type, and you type it a second time to confirm it before it's saved. If you forget it, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page.

Google

Link a Google account from Account security and sign in with it. Google sign-in is available on the web. A linked Google account can also be your second factor.

Passkeys

Add a passkey and sign in with your fingerprint, face, screen lock or a security key, with no password to type. Choose the passkey button on the sign-in page to use it.

Removing a method

You can delete your password or unlink Google. Before you do, you'll be asked to confirm and told how you'll sign in afterwards. Deleting your password leaves you signing in with Google. Unlinking Google leaves you signing in with your password.
