Inventory change history
Every quantity change is recorded with its reason, amount, related order, comment and the user who made it. See it on each record and facility total, or all together in Inventory Changes.
How it works
Every change to an inventory quantity is recorded as an inventory change. Changes are only ever added, never edited, so the history shows how each quantity got where it is.
What each change records
- Change: which quantity moved and by how much.
- Reason: why, such as receiving, damaged, a count correction, a transfer or an order's allocation.
- Order: the order behind the change, when there is one.
- Comment and Reference: a note, or an outside reference such as a purchase order number.
- Entered By: the user who made it. Changes ShipGenius makes on its own, such as a shipment or an order's allocation, have no user.
- When: the date and time.
Where to see it
The History section on each inventory record and facility total shows the latest changes. The Inventory Changes list shows every change across your account, and you can filter and sort it like any other list.
