Inventory tracking switch

How it works

Inventory tracking is one switch for the whole account, kept in OMS configuration. An account admin turns it on or off.

Turning it on

While it's off, OMS configuration and the Inventory page show Set up inventory. Setup walks you through turning it on, adding your starting inventory and choosing the items to track.

With it on, ShipGenius keeps your inventory for each item and facility, allocates it to the orders that need it, and is the source of truth for the quantity every connected marketplace shows.

Turning it off

Select Turn off inventory tracking and confirm. The window explains what happens and lists every integration that will stop receiving quantities.

• ShipGenius stops publishing quantities to your marketplaces. Each marketplace keeps the last quantity it was sent.
• Every order's allocation is released.
• If you sell on more than one marketplace, a sale on one no longer lowers the others, so you keep them matched yourself.

Once it's off, the page lists the integrations that stopped receiving quantities.
